For more than thirty two years, CHDI has been at the forefront of promoting access to quality health care for all residents of Southwest Texas. In addition to providing residents with a choice when it comes to health care, the agency also serves as a stable economic engine, generating jobs and revenue for the community. Although the agency has a long list of accomplishments, the following represent some of the most recent and significant changes over the past few years:

  • The addition of the Center for Community Wellness campus at 908 South Evans Street in Uvalde. These three buildings house our Oral Health Department, Teaching Kitchen, Fitness/Exercise Facility, Electronic Health Records and Administrative Offices.
  • Upgrade of Rolling Hills Health, our satellite health center in Leakey, including new medical exam equipment, office equipment and furniture and a fresh coat of paint!

  • Following a successful first interview, the candidate’s references are contacted.
  • Candidates accepted for the next stage are interviewed by management personnel and the department supervisor.
