Staff Accountant

Location: Uvalde

Position Summary:

Responsible for administrative and professional accounting work including accounts receivable, accounts payable, assist with budget preparation and financial reports and maintains accounting manual.

Requirements Required:

  • Experience in creating journal entries to the General Ledger
  • Experience in accounts receivable.
  • Experience with accounting and payroll processes and software.
  • Experience in supervising staff.
  • Generates quarterly 941 Tax Report, TEC quarterly reports, and end of year reports.
  • Experience in reconciling monthly bank statements.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential material.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in accounting.
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Office 365.
  • Experience in reviewing and processing bi-weekly payroll.

    Accounting Specialist

    Location: Uvalde

    Position Summary:

    Performs administrative, payroll, personnel, entry level bookkeeping and accounting work.  Assist with physical count of equipment and inventory of supplies.  Works independently or in a group setting.

     Requirements Required:

    • Assists in preparation of TWC, 941 Form, 990 Form and any other fiscal report as necessary.
    • Experience in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, purchase orders entry, and vendor account reconciliation.
    • Ability to review and verify invoices and payment requests.
    • Ability to maintain vendor files and correspondence.
    • Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation.
    • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential material.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications Required:

    • Degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience.

      Behavioral Health Coordinator

      Location: Multiple

      Position Summary:

      Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, provides leadership, direction, and oversight for all Behavioral Health activities related to the operations of the registration/cashiers, and client service representatives. Supports staff when shorthanded with own expertise and hands-on support.

       Requirements Required:

      • Experience in training and supervising all patient services specialists.
      • Experience in monitoring patient flow, including staff schedules, and monitoring front office day-to-day operations
      • Assists departments with the implementation and revision of policies and procedures
      • One year of experience in health care delivery setting and customer service with supervisory experience.

              Registered Dental Assistant

              Location: Uvalde

              Position Summary:

              Performs routine chair-side dental assisting duties and other related duties involved in providing oral health patient care in one of the Agency’s primary health care clinics.  Works under the direction of agency’s dentist(s), registered dental hygienist(s) and the supervision of the Chief Dental Officer.  The dental assistant will provide services directed toward the restoration of health and wellness, health promotion and disease prevention.

              Requirements Required:

              • Certified by the State of Texas as a Registered Dental Assistant.
              • Maintains continuing education requirements as mandated by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners for Registered Dental Assistants licensure and provider Basic Life Support as required by the American Heart Association.
              • Experience in the sterility of all reusable dental instruments, devices and equipment in accordance with Dental Department directive and protocol.
              • Experience in preparing the patient for treatment including the identification of the chief complaint, the taking and recording of vital signs, weight, temperature, blood pressure, glucose levels, etc., and ensures smooth patient flow throughout the center.
              • Knowledge of modern dental material, their storage, handling and applications.
              • Ability to work flexible hours or change schedule as necessary.

              Qualifications Required:

              • Bilingual preferred.

              Custodian

              Location: Uvalde

              Position Summary:

              Performs routine maintenance and inspections to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the agency’s facilities.

              Requirements Required:

              • Requires intermittent sitting, kneeling, bending, walking, climbing, lifting, and standing.
              • Lift and or move 50 to up to 100 pounds

              Qualifications Required:

              • Must have transportation to travel to different sites
              • Must possess a current Class C Texas driver’s license and proof of liability insurance.
              • One-year related experience and/or training preferred.
                Community Services Supervisor

                Location: Uvalde 

                Position Summary:

                Oversees and coordinates the agency’s outreach and community initiatives to ensure efficiency and integration among the programs.  To act as an advocate for CHDI clients, by assisting the delivery and coordination of health-related services.  To actively recruit new clients to CHDI and actively promote the agency’s programs and its services to clients and the public.

                 

                Requirements Required:

                • Graduate from an accredited high school.
                • A minimum of two years’ experience in community-based program assessment and administration is required.
                • Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory or leadership role, overseeing teams or projects.
                • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
                • Experience in healthcare systems, outreach, and health promotion, including record keeping and coordination of activities and program participants
                • Computer skills required ( Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
                • Speak and write fluently in English and Spanish preferred.

                            Practice Manager

                            Location: Multiple

                            Position Summary:

                            The position supervises all day-to-day practice operations, including administrative and clinical staffing, patient appointment scheduling, time of service collections activity, and claims filing accuracy/posting.

                             Requirements Required:

                            • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
                            • 3 years of experience in progressive and hands-on managerial experience in a medical practice
                            • Must demonstrate knowledge in medical practice management: operations, human resource management, information management, patient care systems, risk management, and quality management.
                            • Basic knowledge of CLIA, HIPAA, NCQA, and OSHA medical office regulations
                            • Demonstrates a strong commitment to patient, provider, and employee satisfaction

                                    Health Information Specialist

                                    Location: Uvalde

                                    Position Summary:

                                    Responsible for maintaining the content of Health Records in accordance with CHDI Policies and Procedures.Converts paper records into electronic records and files accurately in the patient’s electronic chart. Monitors access of the Health Record department and maintains security of PHI. Responds to requests for PHI in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1993 as amended.

                                    Requirements Required:

                                    • High School Diploma/GED
                                    • 1-2 years’ experience in a health care setting preferred.
                                    • Experience in safeguarding patient records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.

                                                Patient Services Specialist

                                                Location: Uvalde 

                                                Position Summary:

                                                This position performs registration of patients seeking services from CHDI and is responsible for greeting, screening, and directing patients to appropriate services. Position performs routine clerical duties following established procedures.

                                                Qualifications Required:

                                                • High school diploma or GED required.
                                                • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
                                                • At least one-year of experience answering telephone and working with the public.
                                                • Computer literacy preferred.
                                                • Ability to work flexible hours
                                                  Pharmacy Technician

                                                  Location: Uvalde

                                                  Position Summary:

                                                  Assists pharmacists in providing prescribed medications to clients. Assists the pharmacist in managing the pharmacy medication inventory. Ensures appropriate client flow in the pharmacy area.

                                                  Requirements Required:

                                                  • Registered Pharmacy Technician certification thru the Texas Board of Pharmacy.
                                                  • Knowledge of Pharmacy Software to process medications procedures.
                                                  • Knowledge of medical terminology, acceptable medical abbreviations, and medical Instructions/education.

                                                            Requirements Required:

                                                            • Graduate from a State approved School of Vocational Nursing or higher, with current Certification or Registration
                                                            • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the State of Texas
                                                            • Licensed to practice in Texas.
