Position Summary:
The position supervises all day-to-day practice operations, including administrative and clinical staffing, patient appointment scheduling, time of service collections activity, and claims filing accuracy/posting.
Requirements Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of experience in progressive and hands-on managerial experience in a medical practice
- Must demonstrate knowledge in medical practice management: operations, human resource management, information management, patient care systems, risk management, and quality management.
- Basic knowledge of CLIA, HIPAA, NCQA, and OSHA medical office regulations

Patient Services Specialist
Location: Uvalde
Position Summary:
This position performs registration of patients seeking services from CHDI and is responsible for greeting, screening, and directing patients to appropriate services. Position performs routine clerical duties following established procedures.
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- At least one-year of experience answering telephone and working with the public.
- Computer literacy preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours
Call Center Specialist
Location: Uvalde
Position Summary:
Duties are answering/routing calls and scheduling/follow-up appointments. Directly supervised by the Patient Service Supervisor.
Requirements Required:
- Graduate from an accredited high school or GED.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Experience in healthcare systems.
- Experience in screening, scheduling, and following up with patients’ appointments.
- Speak and write fluently in English and Spanish preferred.

Position Summary:
Performs routine technical nursing duties and assists with other related duties involved in providing patient care. Works under the direction of the physician and supervision of Director of Nursing.
Requirements Required:
- Graduate from a State approved School of Vocational Nursing or higher, with current Certification or Registration
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the State of Texas
- Licensed to practice in Texas.
- Knowledge of legal and medical requirements as applied to compliance performance improvement.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, acceptable medical abbreviations, and medical Instructions/education.

Position Summary:
Performs routine maintenance and inspections to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the agency’s facilities.
Requirements Required:
- Requires intermittent sitting, kneeling, bending, walking, climbing, lifting, and standing.
- Lift and or move 50 to up to 100 pounds
Qualifications Required:
- Must have transportation to travel to different sites
- Must possess a current Class C Texas driver’s license and proof of liability insurance.

Community Health Worker

Position Summary:
To act as an advocate for CHDI patients, by assisting in the delivery and coordination of health-related services. To actively recruit new patients and to CHDI and actively promote the agency’s programs and its services to patients and the general public.
Requirements Required:
- Graduate from an accredited high school or GED.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Experience in healthcare systems, outreach, and health promotion, including record-keeping and coordination of activities and program participants
- Computer skills required ( Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Speak and write fluently in English and Spanish preferred.

Registered Dental Assistant
Location: Uvalde
Position Summary:
Performs routine chair-side dental assisting duties and other related duties involved in providing oral health patient care in one of the Agency’s primary health care clinics. Works under the direction of agency’s dentist(s), registered dental hygienist(s) and the supervision of the Chief Dental Officer. The dental assistant will provide services directed toward the restoration of health and wellness, health promotion and disease prevention.
Requirements Required:
- Certified by the State of Texas as a Registered Dental Assistant.
- Maintains continuing education requirements as mandated by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners for Registered Dental Assistants licensure and provider Basic Life Support as required by the American Heart Association.
- Experience in the sterility of all reusable dental instruments, devices and equipment in accordance with Dental Department directive and protocol.
- Experience in preparing the patient for treatment including the identification of the chief complaint, the taking and recording of vital signs, weight, temperature, blood pressure, glucose levels, etc., and ensures smooth patient flow throughout the center.
- Knowledge of modern dental material, their storage, handling and applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours or change schedule as necessary.
